Underwater LED strips or neon lights used in swimming pools must have a waterproof rating of IP68.
Our IP68 / IP69 LED strip neon lights can be used underwater to a depth of 2 meters. And our IP68 led strip neon lights can be red, green, blue, yellow, orange, pink, tunable white, RGB, RGBW and addressable SPI RGB. The standard voltage is 24Vdc. If you need 12Vdc, we can customize it for you.
IP Code or Ingress Protection Code is defined in IEC 60529 which classifies and provides a guideline to the degree of protection provided by mechanical casings and electrical enclosures against intrusion, dust, accidental contact, and water. Chlorination resistant
Secondly, LED strip lights or neon lights need to be chlorine corrosion resistant.The most common compounds used to disinfect swimming pools are forms of chlorine. Chlorine can corrode LED strips or neon lights, which is the reason why most LED strips and neon lights in the market will fail after sometime usage.
Our IP68 IP69 silicone neon lights have been tested against chlorine corrosion. We also develop stainless steel, chlorine-resistant mounting clips for use underwater in swimming pools. You can’t use aluminum profile in the swimming pools, as Chlorine chemicals can corrode aluminum.
